Welcoming Baby GIANNA Into the World | A Sweet Newborn Session at Alana Mae Photography

There is something so special about those first few weeks with a new baby. The sleepy stretches, tiny fingers wrapped around yours, and the overwhelming love that fills your home. While those days can feel long in the moment, they pass by in the blink of an eye.

This beautiful newborn session was a perfect reminder of why I love photographing newborns so much.

From the moment this sweet baby arrived at the studio, everything was calm and relaxed. We focused on capturing those tiny details that parents never want to forget.. the delicate eyelashes, tiny toes, soft cheeks, and all the little features that change so quickly during the first few weeks of life.

One of my favorite parts of every newborn session is creating timeless images that will still feel beautiful twenty years from now. Soft tones, simple styling, and gentle posing allow your baby to remain the focus of every image.

Newborn photography is about so much more than taking pictures. It's about preserving a chapter of your family's story that passes all too quickly. These images become keepsakes that are treasured for generations.

As a newborn photographer in Lake Charles, Louisiana, my goal is to create a comfortable experience for both baby and parents. From wraps and props to posing and soothing, everything is provided so you can simply relax and enjoy watching your baby's first professional portraits come to life.

If you're expecting, I recommend reserving your newborn session during your second trimester to ensure availability on my calendar. Newborn sessions are best photographed within the first 7–14 days after birth when babies are still sleepy and naturally curled up.
