#MatchMadeinHale- Lake Charles, La

Updated: Aug 23, 2019

Mary and Chris have been one of my favorite couples to work with for their wedding.. it has been nothing but an adventure!! For their engagement pictures we traveled to Oak Alley Plantation and it was such a perfect day.. for Marys bridals we decided to head to Holly Beach and well that's is when the adventure got a little crazy lol. After we wrapped up her shoot we went to leave and well.... my car was stuck. It basically sunk in the sand. I can't even make it up y'all! Luckily Mary and her maid of honor Katie are such amazing people, they stayed with me until Patrick could come save me. Then came the wedding day and I just knew we were going to have an amazing day celebrating two wonderful people!

I arrived to their venue at The Heist in Lake Charles, La just before a tsunami hit. It started to storm outside!! But hey they say "Rain on your wedding day is good luck"! When i walked in the venue i was greeted with warm smiles, excited faces, and some beach themed decor! IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL. We started the day with pictures of Mary and her bridesmaids and then came the first look. We hid Mary and set Chris up with his back turned away and told him not to turn around until Mary told him to. Once Mary walked in before Chris turned around i took a picture of them hugging from behind without actually seeing each other.. you could sense the love and excitement they had and it was just perfect!! The time came for Chris to turn around and see his future wife for the first time... his face was priceless. He could not stop staring at her and kept having to wipe his eyes. OMG it was amazing.. first looks are one of my favorite parts because it so special to see the love radiate through people. After the first look we finished up all the pictures that are done before the wedding.. and we were ready for the ceremony to begin!!

The ceremony was so beautiful... Mary and Chris chose to write their own vows. When they began to read them, there was practically not a dry eye in the room. It was beautiful. Once the wedding was over it was time for the party to begin!! Mary and Chris had their first dance to "Your Song" from Moulin Rouge. It was a beautiful evening and everyone had such a blast!! Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day.. i have also included the list of vendors that helped make their day so special.
